Jessie L. Nightingale, Jr. is the Founder & Pastor of Guiding Light Ministries, Inc.. Elder Nightingale received a lot of his training by walking with the Founder of New Life Tabernacle, Pastor Ethel N. Isreal. After many years in ministry, Elder Nightingale was ordained as an elder November 17, 2001 by his pastor, Bishop Jasper Rolle, Jr., who is the Presiding Prelate of the Abundant Life Ministries. Elder Nightingale spent the earlier part of his ministry under the tutelage of Pastor Carrie B. Bryant, who is the Overseer of True Holiness Ministries formally known as Tabernacle of Prayer for All People, Inc. Elder Nightingale graduated from the University of Florida, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He also attended Truth Bible College and Seminary, where he obtained a Masters Degree in Biblical Ministerial Counseling. He is currently pursuing his Doctoral Degree in Religious Studies.

Elder Nightingale is an accomplished musician who has recorded with the Full Gospel Holy Temple choir in Dallas, TX. He wrote two songs on that project entitled “Anointing” and “Lift the Savior Up.” The song entitled “Anointing”, hit the top 50 charts in Dallas, TX and is on its way to encourage the world for the Glory of God.

Elder Nightingale’s advice to the student of the Bible is to get a hold to prayer and don’t let it go. Wrap yourself in the arms of prayer. Entangle yourself in the details of prayer. Pray until you can’t pray and then pray some more. Submerge yourself in the ocean of prayer and then ride the waves of God’s silence. Make prayer your friend because PRAYER is the essential weapon. Knowledge about God is not enough because you can have knowledge about God and still not know God. Prayer is the key.
